ARPAS-UK MENTORING SCHEME
DISCOVERING FUTURE FLIGHT
WITH ARPAS-UK
Do you find the world of Aviation fascinating? Are you dreaming of shaping the skies of tomorrow? Then you are in the right place!
This government-funded Reach for the Sky Challenge project, delivered by ARPAS-UK, the non-profit trade association for the UK drone industry, aims to inspire and engage young people ages 14-18 through a mentoring programme, workshops and career fairs. With a focus on reaching underrepresented groups, including women, ethnic minorities, and individuals from lower socio-economic backgrounds, the programme is set to support the creation of a more diverse and inclusive Aviation industry.
The Association of Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (ARPAS-UK) FREE Mentoring scheme, powered by Flight Crowd, connects young people with industry-leading professionals, particularly in the drone and Electric Aviation sectors, and helps individuals explore a range of career paths available to them in the future.

This FREE Mentoring scheme is designed so that, with just a few hours a month and access to a range of learning resources and industry advice, young people will gain valuable insights, build confidence in their ideas, and be empowered to shape the skies of tomorrow. With us, young people will receive unparalleled one-on-one guidance to explore Aviation career pathways that were once just a dream!
The drone industry itself is projected to grow to approximately $57.8 billion by 2030, touching every part of our lives, from applications in agriculture to the very way we travel, and this is just the beginning!
At ARPAS-UK and Flight Crowd, we are passionate about building an inclusive and diverse future of Aerospace. We know that to shape the future of mobility and transportation, our industry needs people with a diverse range of skills and backgrounds. Whether you are passionate about science, engineering, architecture, business, finance, psychology, art, or design, - we need you all!
Throughout the Mentoring programme, mentees will be in regular contact with their respective mentors, who will share valuable insights into the world of Aviation and Future Flight. The scheme also provides an opportunity for young people to discuss their goals, form an action plan to achieve them, ask questions, and receive advice and insight into the Aerospace industry directly from leaders in the field.
The ARPAS-UK Mentoring scheme, funded by the UK Department for Transport and powered by Flight Crowd, aims to raise the profile of Aviation careers and remove barriers to access, so the sector can build a workforce fit for the future. It is designed to empower and foster young innovators like you!
